In case you are wondering, my photo style isn't that specified yet or defined. I have yet to figure it out. So everything is in its experimental stage. But for now, I'm learning to do different styles and be a renaissance man.
My photo post processing ritual isn't cast in stone. Sometimes I try a lot of different styles before settling down to what best effect a picture will come out the most. There are numerous factors for such decisions particularly the lighting, the theme and the personality of the models. I always consider these because I may not be O.C. in real life, but when it comes to processing photos, I'm quite a Nazi.
For example in this particular effect, I thought of a Givenchy perfume ad somehow, so the classic Black and White became my top choice. Timeless and Elegant.

For the succeeding photos below, I tried a more colder tone to reflect the mood of the waters and the personality of the model. Yes, Mr. D, is quite the stoic type, mind you and the cold tone adds a little punch in the photo.

For this photo, I made the exact opposite. This time with a warmer undertone with a bit of lomo effect for our sunny little VI.

From head to foot, CH got the hipster thing down. And thus the very lomo-ish color for him with a faint bluish-purple-ish undertone to it.
And lastly, another lomo effect but this time with a bluish-greenish undertone to make the grass alive. Dedicated to the meta-hipster and celebrant, VO.
