Lost in Time

So we go inside the TARDIS about 3 weeks ago, (sorry for the DW reference, I just can't shake it off somehow, forgive me) to have an out-of-a-whim photo shoot. We decided it like this, "Hey! Let's have a photo shoot" "Sure" "When?" "Tomorrow." The End. No theme, no preparations. Na-dah. They were aching to have their photos taken and I was itching to have something to do with my free time.

The girls' clothes were from my closet. That Black and White stripe shirt was my grandmother's, and the gray off shoulder dress was bought from a 2nd hand shop. Everything else were barefooted or styled by my grandma, who agreed to be our hair dresser that time. She was once a hair dresser and I sorta take advantage of her during shoots like these. And no, it is not an abuse! She is very happy to play with my cousins' hair. On the other hand, the boys' costumes are far from awesome. But you know we made it work.

Grandma wrestling VO's hair to tame it down to one nice knot.
Look at that bun, how professionally done~! Thanks Grandma!
We agreed to head to a nearby hiking trek, south of the town, well, if you ask me, it's a quite dilapidated mountain resort with empty pools with mosses growing out of the cracks, and untamed plants that's perfect for a nature/ruins type of photo shoot, which is quite what we are rooting for.

We settled nearby the stream with thick vegetation because it has a more flexible scope for the shoot. Lots of choices down there. Anyhoo, VO got my itouch for outtakes and so did Mr.D. They happen to know that I'm quite fond of outtakes and also of my face while working. You can't imagine the amount of photos I have to go through to trim down for posting. Here they are:

Uh~! Excuse me~! Lol.
CH's just helping VO to tuck in the Bra strap. :D
While it's someone's turn, the rest of the group help out. We call this production. aka, no budget production.
What a supportive sister~!
This part of the mountains is connected to the Sierra Madre mountain ranges. So technically, it is along Maria Makiling's territory. And lookee who I get to shoot. A NAERMYTH~!
Nope, that's just VI. hehe~!
"So you bend your head like this, like Papa's painting."
Note my Spiky Headband and Hair Bun c/o by grandma.
Okay, so you lay down there on the Stone Table, and Imma kill you like Aslan in Narnia. Okay?
Pretty.
Gorgeous.
RETARDED.
CH's mantra while taking this photo: Gwapo ako, gwapo ako.
I love how the light illuminates the bossy me.
INCEPTION~!!!!!! What the?! Who's taking our photo?
Mr.D caught our stalker in a photo off!
AHA~!
Umm, guys. I found a random condom wrapper. Who the hell uses this here in this remote mountain?
Oh!
I get it.
Sorry.
Compulsory photo with my muse.
Complusory Couple Pic.
With that very annoying smile.
Admit it~!
We did the Rue-ing thing right!
Boo-yah~!
A little picnic by the stream in the middle of the forest. Perfect.
Who says planking is out of style?
I dunno how the hell he managed to do it.
Graceful body. Face? Not so much.
*peace*
Who'd you think is older?
Now I know who ate the last lollipop.
And that's a wrap~!
Official Photos from this shoot to follow. :D I know, it is very overdue. But I'm holding it hostage for a now. :D

Regeneration

Remember from my previous post that we did a photoshoot, Dear Reader? Well, here it is~! I chose my favorites just for you.

In case you  are wondering, my photo style isn't that specified yet or defined. I have yet to figure it out. So everything is in its experimental stage. But for now, I'm learning to do different styles and be a renaissance man.

My photo post processing ritual isn't cast in stone. Sometimes I try a lot of different styles before settling down to what best effect a picture will come out the most. There are numerous factors for such decisions particularly the lighting, the theme and the personality of the models. I always consider these because I may not be O.C. in real life, but when it comes to processing photos, I'm quite a Nazi.

For example in this particular effect, I thought of a Givenchy perfume ad somehow, so the classic Black and White became my top choice. Timeless and Elegant.

For the succeeding photos below, I tried a more colder tone to reflect the mood of the waters and the personality of the model. Yes, Mr. D, is quite the stoic type, mind you and the cold tone adds a little punch in the photo.

For this photo, I made the exact opposite. This time with a warmer undertone with a bit of lomo effect for our sunny little VI.
More photo here.
From head to foot, CH got the hipster thing down. And thus the very lomo-ish color for him with a faint bluish-purple-ish undertone to it.

And lastly, another lomo effect but this time with a bluish-greenish undertone to make the grass alive. Dedicated to the meta-hipster and celebrant, VO.

Wet N' Wild Birthday Bash

Surprising someone on their birthday is a challenge, but surprising VO on her 19th birthday is another level of challenge. But what can I say? CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

VO turned 19 last October 23rd. I remember when I was 19, I spent it packing my luggage and heading down south to the Guimaras Islands. No birthday cake but my first plane ride experience was just perfect. Now, what can I do to make it quite the same experience for her?

Our first plan is kidnapping her and having an overnight on a nearby hot spring resort. Yes, complete with the bad goons, get away car and chloroform. But then again, we hafta make sure she doesn't have any idea on what she's doing nearby a local pool on a cold evening. So we scratch it off.

Then an idea came to mind. (And yes, I was whacked at the face when I entered planet Vlogons) Why not make the photoshoot on the 23rd to this little Ecopark at the next town. Most of them agreed, but someone suggested that we do it on the 22nd so the celebrant wouldn't have any suspicion. I said, okay. Let's do this. The plan is set, we go to the Ecopark for a photoshoot, then surprise her with cake, streamers and food!

And this is what happened - awesomeness happened.

Everyone else knows about the plan except little miss celebrant over there~! *evil laugh*
Touch down at Panguil Eco Park. Nabbed a little cottage to be a make shift dressing room.
1-2-3... JUMP~! Isa pa, isa pa.
Checking if she's alive. She's a vampire you know.
Photobombing expert Mr.D strikes again~!
FYI: I use the live view for exposure purposes.
And yes, I seem to always put my models on a patches of sunlight.
Iiiitttttt'ssssss JUMPING-ON-THE-GRASS-while-laughing-hysterically-like-a-ten-year-old-kid-TIME!!!

These rocks and boulders hate me so much. Slipped.

Smiles are hereditary. Unforunately, ugliness too. Yeah, Ugly Pretty. Kidding.
Try doing this pose for a couple of minutes while waiting for the camera to click. :D
Coz this is how you celebrate 19.
Now that VO's birthday is over, it only means one thing, I'm next~! Woohoo~!
